HOW IS IT PREPARED?
The Traditional Method (TM) of preparing the placenta for encapsulation involves gently steaming the placenta before dehydration. This process brings warmth back to the placenta, and thus back to the mother to restore balance. These capsules are made by gently rinsing, preparing and steaming the placenta over an infusion of fresh lemon and ginger. Lemon being a grounding remedy, which alongside ginger aids in circulation and the distribution of healing properties throughout the body. The steamed method of encapsulation will yield fewer capsules due to the steaming process shrinking the placenta. These warming herbs familiar to Chinese medicine are believed to warm and energise you, destroy bacteria and preserve the placenta. After steaming over the lemon and ginger the placenta is sliced into strips, dehydrated, finely ground and placed into capsules.
